Estate of Elijah McClain alleges Aurora Police Officers Nathan Woodyard, Randy Roedema, and Jason Rosenblatt used excessive force by applying a carotid hold on McClain, 23, during a stop on August 24, 2019 while he was walking home. Paramedics injected McClain with ketamine. He suffered cardiac arrest and died August 30, 2019. The suit alleges the City failed to properly train and supervise officers.
