Sister of Atatiana Jefferson, a 28-year-old Black woman, alleges Officer Aaron Dean used excessive and deadly force by shooting Jefferson through her bedroom window on October 12, 2019 during a welfare check in Fort Worth, TX. A neighbor had called the non-emergency line because Jefferson's front door was open late at night. Dean fired through the window without identifying himself as police.
